Presented here is an early cut signature of Theodore Roosevelt, boldly signed “T. Roosevelt” in dark ink on a tan paper slip. The autograph is well-centered, clean, and shows excellent contrast. Along the bottom border, an unknown hand has inscribed Roosevelt’s titles and achievements up to that point in time:

“Ex. Asst. Sec. U.S.N., Author. Colonel Rough Riders, – Governor New York 1899”

A small date notation in the same hand, "10-20-99", appears at the bottom right, suggesting the piece likely dates from Roosevelt’s gubernatorial period. The reverse shows remnants of prior mounting with adhesive residue and some paper loss, though none of this affects the front presentation. The autograph is encapsulated and certified authentic by PSA/DNA.
