Franklin D. Roosevelt Signed First Day Cover – From the Franklin D. Roosevelt Collection – PSA/DNA Certified

This is a First Day Cover (FDC) hand-signed by Franklin D. Roosevelt, the 32nd President of the United States (1933–1945). The envelope is postmarked June 26, 1928, coinciding with the first day of the Democratic National Convention held in Houston, Texas. At the time, Roosevelt was not yet president but was an influential Democratic figure, later securing the presidency in 1932.

Front Details:

  • Signature: Franklin D. Roosevelt’s elegant signature appears in black ink along the left side of the envelope.
  • Postmarks: The envelope bears multiple June 26, 1928, Houston, Texas postmarks, tying it to the Democratic Convention that nominated Al Smith for president.
  • Stamps: A block of five red 2-cent George Washington stamps is affixed to the top of the envelope, all canceled with circular date stamps.
  • Air Mail Label: A "VIA AIR MAIL" label is prominently placed on the lower left side.
  • Addressed To: Benjamin B. Du Bose, 495 Piedmont Ave., N.E., Atlanta, Ga.

  • Postmarks: Additional receiving postmarks from Santa Catalina, CA (June 24, 1928) and Atlanta, GA (June 27, 1928).
