A signed check by Lee Harvey Oswald's killer, Jack Ruby. Measuring 8" x 3", Dallas, Texas, dated July 21, 1953. A check, No. 119, drawn on the Mercantile National Bank at Dallas, paying $13.00 to the Seven Up Bottling Company. Signed "Jack Ruby" at the bottom right. With bank stamps, cancellation punches, and an endorsement on the verso. The check has very light edge wear. Very fine with a bold signature. Encapsulated and PSA/DNA graded MINT 9, measuring 12.5" x. 5.5" overall.
Five days after this check was signed, Ruby was arrested on July 26, 1953 on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon. However, no charges were filed and Ruby was released on the same day.
