The confrontation resulted in the deaths of Bob Dalton, Grat Dalton, Dick Broadwell, and Bill Powers, while Emmett Dalton survived despite suffering numerous gunshot wounds. Tim Evans, a gang associate, was also killed during the confrontation. In many early souvenir photographs and postcards, the unidentified fourth figure is captioned as "Texas Jack," reflecting period identifications that appeared on commercial reproductions.
