The raid ended in disaster for the gang. Bob Dalton, Grat Dalton, Bill Powers, and Dick Broadwell were killed during or shortly after the confrontation, while Emmett Dalton survived despite sustaining numerous gunshot wounds. The image depicted on this postcard captures the public display of the deceased outlaws, an event that drew thousands of spectators and became one of the most reproduced photographs of the American frontier.
